Responsibilities
Lead and manage the IT infrastructure team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
Develop and implement a comprehensive IT infrastructure strategy aligned with the university's overall IT strategic plan.
Oversee the design, deployment, operation, and maintenance of the university's network infrastructure, including wired and wireless networks, firewalls, and network security solutions.
Manage and optimize the university's data center operations, ensuring efficient use of resources, power, and cooling.
Oversee the planning, acquisition, implementation, and management of server and storage infrastructure to meet the computing needs of the university community.
Develop and implement disaster recovery plans for the IT infrastructure to ensure business continuity in the event of outages or disruptions.
Stay up-to-date on the latest IT infrastructure technologies, including virtualization, cloud computing, and network security solutions.
Identify and implement cost-effective solutions for optimizing and upgrading the IT infrastructure.
Manage and monitor IT infrastructure performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement IT infrastructure policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations and adherence to security best practices.
Collaborate with other IT departments and university stakeholders to understand their infrastructure needs and develop solutions.
Manage relationships with vendors for IT infrastructure equipment and services, ensuring adherence to contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the IT infrastructure team.
Oversee IT infrastructure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
