- In-depth knowledge of data center operations and best practices.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead   and manage the IT infrastructure team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT infrastructure strategy aligned with the university's overall IT strategic plan.

  • Oversee the design, deployment, operation, and maintenance of the   university's network infrastructure, including wired and wireless networks, firewalls, and network security solutions.

  • Manage and optimize the university's data center operations, ensuring efficient use of resources, power, and cooling.

  • Oversee the planning, acquisition, implementation, and management of server and storage infrastructure to meet the computing needs of the university   community.

  • Develop and implement disaster recovery plans for the IT infrastructure to ensure business continuity in the event of outages or disruptions.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest IT infrastructure technologies, including virtualization, cloud computing, and network security solutions.

  • Identify and implement cost-effective solutions for optimizing and upgrading the IT infrastructure.

  • Manage and monitor IT infrastructure performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.

  • Develop and implement IT infrastructure policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations and adherence to security best practices.

  • Collaborate with other IT departments and university stakeholders to understand their infrastructure needs and develop solutions.

  • Manage relationships with vendors for IT infrastructure equipment and services, ensuring adherence to contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the IT infrastructure team.

  • Oversee IT infrastructure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
